How to compare API quotes on landed cost, not headline price

The cheapest unit price rarely wins once MOQ, incoterms, lead time and payment terms are factored in. A short guide to reading a quote comparison.

A headline price of $4.20/kg can cost more than $4.80/kg once you account for minimum order quantity, freight under the incoterm, and the working-capital hit of an advance payment.

On PharmaLink every quote is normalised into the same comparison table, so you compare like for like: unit price, total at your quantity, lead time, MOQ, incoterm, payment terms and the supplier’s live certifications.

Rule of thumb: shortlist on landed cost, then break ties on certification coverage and lead-time reliability.
